Biophotonics and Bioimaging Seminar Series

Applying technological advances or physical insights to achieve fundamental advances in biology and medicine requires close collaboration between researchers in engineering, physical, life and medical sciences. Based on this premise, the Biophotonics and Bioimaging seminar series will bring together researchers from across the Davis and Sacramento campuses. Distinguished speakers will be chosen from diverse fields of engineering and imaging physics, optical spectroscopy, tissue optics, diagnostic and clinical medicine, translational medicine, and basic biology. Through lunches and Q&A sessions with the speakers, the series will provide comprehensive training and networking opportunities to students and researchers from all departments across the Davis Campus and Medical Center. Moreover the seminar series will provide an interdisciplinary forum for researchers to bridge across fields and achieve important breakthroughs.
